About the Artist:

R. Lugo is a gender queer artist with a talent for depicting expressive characters with bold colors. They graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2013 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration. Their senior thesis is published and available at the Alfred R. Goldstein Library.Lugo has participated in gallery shows such as “Velvet Room” by Pixel Drip Presents and “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” by Gallery Nucleus, for which their merchandise was purchased for retail use.Additionally, they were featured in Adobe's Artist Spotlight and have been contracted to create promotional assets and merchandise designs for Team Dynamite Productions.Lugo has been published several times in ReedPop's “Monster’s and Dames” art book and contributed to various indie art zines such as Meat Popsicle, Aberration, Still Beating, Summers End, and Rattle the Stars.
